Section 124A of IPC…
Amaravati: The Reserve Bank has warned that rejecting government-recognised Rs 10 or Rs 20 coins will be an offense under the law. There was a lot of confusion among the people on social media that the 10 rupees coin was invalid and it was fake. 10 or 20 rupees coins are being rejected in many parts of the country. The RBI has made it clear that these 10 or 20 rupee coins approved by the Government of India are certified currencies, and no one has the right to reject them. If someone does such a thing, you can file a complaint against them under Section 124A of the IPC. It is also said that there is a possibility of imprisonment up to three years in this case.
