The Brahmotsavam of Srivari Salakatla started with grandeur

Tirumala: The Brahmotsavams of Srivari Salakatla started in grand style on Friday between 5.45 pm to 6 pm with the flag hoisting ceremony in Meena lagnam. In the presence of Shrimalayappaswamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, the priests hoisted the Garudadhvajam on the golden flagpole while the mangaladyas were playing amidst the hymns. It is said that this program will be organized to invite all the deities and Ashtadikpalakas to the Brahmotsavam. First, Sridevi and Bhudevi along with Sri Malayappaswamy, the attendant deities Sri Ananta, Garuda, Chakratthalwar, Senadhipati and Dhwajapata were held in a procession in the four Mada streets of the temple.

Chief Minister presented silk cloths to Lord Shiva: On Thursday, Chief Minister Chandrababu presented silk cloths to Lord Shiva on behalf of the state government. Malayappa Swami Abhaya will preside over various vehicle services for 9 days starting from today. Brahmotsavam ends with chakra bath on 12th.
