The US has declared The Resistance Front a terrorist organization

Amaravati: The US has declared The Resistance Front (TRF), which brutally killed tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, as a terrorist organization. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terrorist organization, is a front organization. On April 22, terrorists opened indiscriminate fire targeting Hindu tourists in Pahalgam. 26 innocent people lost their lives in this attack. TRF claimed responsibility for the attack.
Marco Rubio:- Marco Rubio announced that the United States is designating The Resistance Front as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) organization. It was revealed that the Pahalgam incident was the biggest terrorist attack in India since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.TRF has claimed responsibility for several past attacks on Indian security forces.
Just another name for Lashkar-e-Taiba: TRF was formed in 2019 as an affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba. This is just another name for Lashkar-e-Taiba. Pakistan Army and ISI strategists have brought the Lashkar-e-Taiba core group to the fore under the name TRF to evade scrutiny by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Along with Kashmiri Pandits: Pakistan has deployed TRF to carry out terror attacks in the region after the abrogation of Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. For the past 4 years, this organization has been carrying out attacks targeting migrant workers, Kashmiri Pandits, and ordinary citizens in Jammu and Kashmir. 2021 Drone attacks on Indian Air Force (IAF) station in Jammu. In this context, the central government banned TRF in January 2023 under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
