Amaravati: India on Monday signed a deal with French company Dassault to further equip the Indian Navy, which is an undisputed power in the Indian Ocean. An inter-governmental agreement was signed between India and France in the presence of Dassault Aviation Chairman & CEO Eric Trappier for the purchase of 26 Rafale Marine fighter jets by India. This deal follows the announcement of the Rafale Marine selection in July 2023. Indian officials have expressed satisfaction with the capabilities of the Rafale Marine version of the aircraft after consultations at the international level. This will be the first time the Indian Navy outside of France will use the Rafale Marine from our country’s warships.
