Cancer Daycare Centers in all districts of the country – PM Modi
Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Center has decided to start cancer day care centers in all the districts of the country to make cancer medicines available at low cost. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the Bageshwar Tham Medical and Science Research Institute at Chatarpur in Madhya Pradesh today. Later, he said, many announcements were made in the 2025-26 budget to fight cancer. He said that a decision has been taken to open cancer day care centers in all the districts of the country in the next three years. Dhirendra Shastri has announced that a ward at the Bhageshwar Tham Medical and Science Research Institute will be named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi. He said that the construction of the hospital will be completed in 3 years with an estimated cost of Rs.200 crores. Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute will be constructed on an area of 10 acres and a 100-bed facility will be prepared in the first phase, he said. It has been revealed that free medical services will be provided here to cancer patients belonging to the helpless, economically weaker sections.
