Hyderabad: Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma has been sentenced by the court. Mumbai’s Andheri Magistrate’s Court convicted Verma in the check bounce case and sentenced him to three months in jail. In 2018, a case was registered against Verma on the basis of a complaint lodged by a person named Mahesh Chandra. No matter how many summons were issued by the court, Verma did not appear even once.
