Nellore: State Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy said that it is heartening that the Red Cross Service Organization in the district is providing various types of medical services and getting recognition at the national level. The Minister along with District Collector Chakradhar Babu inaugurated mobile vaccination and mobile blood donation vehicles at the Indian Red Cross office in the city on Sunday. Speaking to the media on this occasion, Minister Kakani said that it is a matter of pride for the district that the Red Cross Service Organization is providing various types of medical services and gaining recognition in the country. Allocating mobile vehicles with advanced facilities costing one crore 12 lakhs to Nellore district is proof of their work. He said that in case of lack of blood reserves in rural and urban areas, blood donors have the facility to collect blood by taking a vehicle. Similarly, they said that the vehicle will go to provide different types of vaccinations to the people. He said that it is because of hard work and providing efficient services that the center has allotted vehicles with modern knowledge to the district Red Cross organization. The minister wished to provide more services to the people of the district in the same spirit. Minister Kakani provided free prosthetic limbs to the disabled by the Red Cross. He advised them not to lose morale under any circumstances and to live with courage. YCP State Secretary Giridhar Reddy, Red Cross District President Chandrasekhar Reddy and others participated in this program.
