Former CID DG PV Sunil Kumar suspended

Amaravati: Chief Secretary Vijayanand has issued an order suspending former CID DG PV Sunil Kumar. Sunil Kumar has been accused of going to America, Georgia, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, UK and other countries without permission from 2019 to 2024 during his current tenure as CID DG.
He was suspended for violating the service rules. He was accused of staying abroad in violation of travel planning even though he had taken permission for some trips while traveling abroad. The government has investigated this. Sunil Kumar was suspended after the prima facie evidence was established.
