ISRO will send NAVIK to GTO on 29th of this month
Amaravati: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch the NVS-01 navigation satellite from the second launch pad at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on Monday (29th) at 10-42 am. The 2,232 kg NVS-01 navigation satellite will be launched into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) by GSLV-F12 rocket. NVS-01 is the first of the second generation satellites designed for Navigation with Indian Constellation (NAVIC). The Navik system is an indigenous satellite navigation system developed by India similar to America’s GPS.
