Amaravati: The Senate on Thursday approved the appointment of Indian-American Kash Patel, a staunch loyalist of US President Trump, as the new director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Cash’s appointment as FBI director was opposed by Alaska Republicans as well as some Democrats. Finally, Kash’s appointment was completed with a difference of 51-49 votes. Kash Patel became the first Hindu, Indian American to hold the post of FBI Director.
US President’s Assistant and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino welcomed Kash Patel’s appointment as FBI Director. Kash Patel’s ancestors hail from Gujarat, India. Kash Patel’s parents migrated to East Africa. After that they migrated to America. Kash Patel was born in 1980 in Garden City, New York. He completed his law studies at the University College of London. After that, he worked in various capacities in the court of Miami.
