Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the “Adi Mahotsav”.
Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Mega National Tribal Festival “Adi Mahotsav”. In the celebrations which started at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, the first tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda was paid tribute by placing flowers. After that, the stalls of tribal products were inspected. Around 1000 tribal artists are participating in the “Adi Mahotsav” showcasing tribal heritage in 200 stalls. As 2023 is being celebrated as the International Year of Grains, along with general categories like handloom, pottery, handicrafts, jewellery, special grains grown by tribals are on display. Adi Mahotsavam is happening from February 16th to 27th.
