Pawan Kalyan-Waqf benefits should reach poor Muslims

Waqf Board Amendments…

Amaravati: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan said on media that the approval of the Waqf Amendment Bill by both houses of Parliament is more than just a parliamentary victory, it is a historic step towards justice, transparency and accountability. He said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA administration has once again proven its commitment to solving long-standing problems. For years, there have been serious concerns about the activities of Waqf Boards. Pawan Kalyan said that this amendment is an important step to address the challenges of the Waqf Board, increase transparency, ensure that the benefits of Waqf reach poor Muslims, and provide representation to Muslim women on the board.

Pawan Kalyan said that instead of a unilateral decision on this bill, there was a full-scale debate on the bill for about 12 hours in the Lok Sabha and about 14 hours in the Rajya Sabha, and every concern raised by the opposition was addressed and every question was answered.
He commented that this is how a responsible, constitutional government works. I would like to thank the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs and Welfare, Kiren Rijiju, and the Home Minister, Amit Shah, for their leadership in introducing and guiding this important bill. He said that he congratulates NDA leader JP Nadda in the Rajya Sabha. He revealed that he thanked every MP who supported this reform, as well as the Muslim community who supported them.
