Sanjay Malhotra appointed as the 26th Governor of Reserve Bank

Amaravati: Sanjay Malhotra has been appointed as the 26th Governor of Reserve Bank. He will continue as RBI Governor for 3 years. At present, the term of Governor Shaktikanta Das will end on Tuesday (December 10). DOPT has issued an order appointing Sanjay Malhotra, who is the revenue secretary, as the new governor. He will assume office on Wednesday. Sanjay Malhotra, who has been appointed as the new RBI Governor, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Sanjay Malhotra, who is currently serving as the Revenue Secretary, as the RBI Governor.
