tabla player Zakir Hussain’s condition is critical

Amaravati: Renowned tabla player Ustak Zakir Hussain (73) is in ICU in a hospital in San Francisco, America. Last week, his health deteriorated and his family admitted him to the hospital. Presently Zakir Hussain’s condition is said to be critical. He started playing tabla at the age of 7. Zakir Hussain’s close friend, flute player Rakesh Chaurasia revealed that he was admitted to hospital last week due to heart related problems. He stated that Zakir Hussain was suffering from blood pressure related problems for a long time. Zakir Hussain has millions of fans in the world of music. Zakir Hussain has also received awards like Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padmavi Bhushan.
