Terrorist arrested for trying to disrupt Mahakumbh Mela
(Believers of Sanatana Dharma all over the world consider it to be the most divine and perform holy bath at the confluence of Tivreni (“Mahakumbh”), which occurs once every 144 years. Amaravati: An active terrorist belonging to Babbar Khalsa International was arrested with three live hand grenades and 13 cartridges in the early hours of Thursday, Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar said. Speaking at a media conference organized on this occasion, he said, “We have received information from various agencies that before the end of the Maha Kumbh, some people are trying to create chaos (in Uttar Pradesh) in collaboration with anti-social forces.” Based on the information, a joint operation was conducted by UP STF & Punjab Police. UP ATS has arrested terrorist Lazar Masih, who is affiliated with Babbar Khalsa International and Pakistan’s ISI, from Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh. Terrorist Masih is said to be in constant contact with Pakistan’s ISI,DGP Kumar said that ammunition and weapons are being received through drones from handlers at the borders.
It was revealed that 3 live hand grenades, 2 live detonators, 1 foreign-made pistol and 13 cartridges were seized from him. Apart from that, they said that white explosive powder, an Aadhaar card with a fake address, and a mobile phone without a SIM card were seized from him.
According to our information, the arrested terrorist is working for Swarn Singh alias Jeevan Fauji, the head of the German-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) module. He said he was in direct touch with Pakistani ISI officials. “During the preparations for the Mahakumbh Mela, Masih was in Kaushambi, Lucknow-Kanpur,” the DGP said.
