The PSLV – C59 rocket successfully launched Proba-3 satellites into orbit
Nellore: The PSLV – C59 rocket carried Proba-3 satellites to Ningi from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota (SDSC-SHAR) at 4:12 pm on Thursday. PROBA-3 mission satellites of European Space Agency (ESA) are working to unmask Bhanu by creating an artificial solar eclipse. Proba-3 mission consists of two satellites (Coronograph spacecraft and Occulter spacecraft). These satellites weighing around 550 kg will be launched into a highly elliptical orbit. Proba-3’s mission is to study the Sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona, by creating an artificial eclipse. The two satellites coordinate with each other and rotate systematically in the earth’s orbit.
