Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects of various departments of the state government, including the railways.

A Loco Manufacturing Shop-Rolling Stock Workshop was inaugurated in Dahod, Gujarat on Monday. The first electric locomotive manufactured from this production facility was flagged off. If the people of India want to earn an income and move forward, every Indian should pledge to use only local goods.
They questioned why we should not use domestic products when products made in our country are being appreciated all over the world.

New history in the railway sector:- 9,000 horsepower (HP) electric locomotives will be manufactured at the Dahod plant. They are capable of carrying a load of 4,500 tonnes at a speed of 120 kmph. The locomotives manufactured at this plant will be the most powerful in India. This workshop will be designed with an annual production capacity of 120 electric locomotives. These can be increased to 150 units based on future needs. Under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, Indian Railways aims to manufacture 1,200 electric locomotives with similar facilities over the next decade. These locomotive engines will be manufactured with the aim of exporting them abroad. This will support the “Make for World” program.
