Bank strike on March 24th and 25th-United Forum of Bank Unions

Amaravati: The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has announced that a two-day nationwide strike will continue on March 24 and 25. they said the decision to go on strike was taken after talks with the Indian Banks Association failed to yield any fruitful results. UFBU members met with IBA officials to discuss demands such as appointments in all cadres, five-day work week, etc. Chandrashekhar, general secretary of the National Confederation of Bank Employees (NCBE), said that no positive decision has been taken on their demands. The UFBU, comprising nine bank employee unions, has already announced a strike over its demands.
