Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed-four killed
Amaravati: Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express Train (15904) met with an accident around 3 pm on Thursday. The accident took place in Pikaura area between Gonda-Jilahi in Uttar Pradesh. 12 bogies derailed due to accident.. According to preliminary information, four people died and 20 people were injured in the accident. Officials are trying to save the passengers from derailed bogies with the help of locals. A 40-member medical team with 15 ambulances reached the spot. Rescue operations are ongoing at the scene. UP CM Yogi Adityanath ordered to intensify the relief measures. The Railway Department has ordered an inquiry into the causes of the accident. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma also reacted to the accident. Officials are monitoring the situation. Ministry of Railways has announced Hell’s line numbers for the help of passengers.
