Encounter at Dachigam National Park, three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists killed

Amaravati: An exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists near Dachigam National Park in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Three terrorists were killed in this shooting. The dead terrorists are being promoted as those who carried out the Pahalgam attack. No official statement has been released on this incident so far. “Operation Mahadev” was jointly launched by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army and CRPF following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the Harwan area. Terrorists opened fire on security forces while they were conducting a search operation in the Dachigam forest area at 11 am on Monday. Alert security personnel returned fire. Three terrorists were killed in this shooting. It is learnt that there is a reward of Rs 20 lakh on each of the terrorists killed in the encounter. The terrorists killed were identified as Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. Srinagar SSP GV Sandeep Chakraborty said that all three deceased were foreign terrorists and belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba. Weapons were recovered from the scene. They are being promoted as the terrorists of the Pahalgam attack. Drones are also being used to locate terrorists. The operation is still ongoing.
