Free electricity for pavilions set up for Vinayaka Chavithi and Vijayadashami
Amaravati: The coalition government has decided to provide free electricity to Ganesh festival halls across the state to celebrate the Vinayaka Chavithi festival.
Several organizers have appealed to Minister Nara Lokesh to provide free electricity to the pavilions where Vinayaka Chavithi idols are set up. Minister Lokesh spoke to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Power Minister Gottipati Ravikumar on the same issue.
Nearly 15,000 Ganesh idols are being installed across the state this year. Rs. 25 crores will be spent to provide free electricity to Ganesh Utsav pavilions.
Vijayadashami also:- Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu responded positively to Minister Lokesh’s request to provide free electricity for the convenience of crores of Ganesh devotees in Andhra Pradesh. To this extent, special orders have been issued for the release of the G.O.. The government has also decided to provide free electricity to Durga Devi mandapams set up during Vijayadashami celebrations.
