Free trade agreement signed between India and Britain

Amaravati: The free trade agreement between India and Britain has finally been signed. With this agreement, the two countries have taken a step forward in economic relations between the two countries, with the goal of increasing bilateral trade to $120 billion by 2030.
The agreement was signed by Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and British Trade Minister Jonathan Reynolds at a ceremony in London on Thursday. This historic agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
This agreement will increase export opportunities for farmers.
Indian agricultural products (fruits, vegetables, spices, grains) will be available in the British market.
Due to the growing interest of British consumers in organic products, our farmers who grow these crops will be able to get higher prices. Reduction in tariffs on exports will reduce middlemen and directly benefit farmers. Crops will have international value as Indian farmers gain access to global markets..
IT, Textile, Pharma, Automobile:- Due to this agreement, tariffs on imports and exports between the two countries will be reduced.
There are good opportunities for investment and job growth.
India’s IT, textile, pharma, and automobile sectors will get a huge boost. Opportunities for Indian students and startups in Britain will increase.. It will also pave the way for Indian MSMEs to enter Britain.

Britain after Brexit: Analysts believe that this agreement is not just an economic one, but also an indicator that further strengthens India’s global trade position. This stands as one of the most important agreements reached by Britain after Brexit from the European Union.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this agreement will mark the beginning of a new chapter in the partnership between Britain and India. They expressed hope that Britain and India will break new ground in the fields of security, defense, AI, education and more.
