New Governors appointed for Haryana, Goa, Ladakh

Amaravati: President Draupadi Murmu has issued an order appointing new governors for two states and one union territory. President Murmu has accepted the resignation of Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) as Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh. Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana,pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju as the Governor of Goa, and Kavinder Gupta as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
Senior TDP leader and former Union Civil Aviation Minister Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been appointed as the Governor of Goa, replacing PS Sreedharan Pillai.

Jammu-born leader: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta, has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. He has administrative experience in the pre-Gupta state of Jammu and Kashmir. The first Jammu-born leader to hold the highest office in the Union Territory.

Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, an academic and political astute person, has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana.
