Parag Jain is the new head of India’s intelligence agency RAW

Amaravati: The central government on Saturday appointed Parag Jain, a 1989 batch (IPS) officer of Punjab cadre, as the new Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) chief. He will take over from current chief Ravi Sinha on June 30. Jain will take over on July 1, 2025, for a fixed term of two years.
Human Intelligence:- He is currently heading the Aviation Research Center (ARC) division of RAW. This department oversees matters related to the country’s airspace surveillance. Indian intelligence sources call Parag a super spy. It is said that he was unrivaled in utilizing human intelligence and technical in telligence with great skill. Intelligence sources suggest that Parag should learn from him how to remain humble no matter how high he rises. He held the post of SSP in Chandigarh and DIG in Ludhiana. Parag was promoted to DGP of Punjab on January 1, 2021.
Operation Sindoor:- After the central government revoked Article 370 in Kashmir…. Parag was on duty in Jammu and Kashmir on behalf of RAW when Operation Balakot was carried out.
During Operation Sindoor, India carried out extremely precise strikes on terror camps and military installations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).
His name has remained as the officer who, after years of hard work, collected the key information needed for this and provided it to the Indian Army.
His extensive experience will be useful to India in checking Pakistan’s terrorist plots in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
