Wife Sonam gets husband murdered in the name of honeymoon

Amaravati: The mystery of the missing couple who went to Meghalaya for honeymoon has been solved. The police have arrested her husband Raja Raghuvanshi and three other people after discovering that his wife Sonam had given supari to contract killers and had them kill her husband. Raja Raghuvanshi (30), from a gold trading family in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and Sonam (25) got married on May 11. The newlywed couple went to Meghalaya on May 20th for their honeymoon and went missing in the East Khasi Hills district on May 23rd. Meanwhile, Meghalaya police and rescue personnel searched intensively for the couple, and Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was identified and recovered. Since then, the police have continued to search for his wife Sonam.

In this context, the Meghalaya DGP revealed on Monday that Sonam was arrested after she recently arrived at the police station in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Three other people who helped her were also arrested, he said. The accused admitted during interrogation that Sonam had given them supari to kill Raja Raghuvanshi. The police are investigating this matter.

Two couples have gone missing in Meghalaya’s East Kashi Hills district since April.

Shillong via Guwahati:- The newlywed couple, who left their home on May 20 for their honeymoon, went to Shillong via Guwahati, the capital of Assam. Before going to Shillong, they visited Goddess Kamakhya in Guwahati.
The couple travelled to Shillong via Guwahati and rented an Activa scooter to visit Sohra (Chherapunji), about 60 km away, and went into the dense forest. The next day, the Activa scooter the couple had taken was found lying near a village called Sohrarim, but the couple was nowhere to be seen.Raja and Sonam’s mother Reena responded to their disappearance and said that they last spoke to them on May 23rd. He said that he has not spoken to them since then and that there has been no communication. They said they were concerned that their phones were switched off even till May 24th and filed a complaint with the Meghalaya Police. Police and relatives conducted a search in the Sohra area.
11 days after his disappearance, Raghuvanshi’s body was found by police in a deep valley near a waterfall in Sohra.As there were knife wounds on his body, the police have registered a case of murder and are investigating.

(Sonam’s father Devi Singh defended his daughter, saying, “She is innocent, she didn’t do this.” …. The police investigation needs to reveal the motive behind Sonam’s murder by paying off the hired killers.)
