AP Govt implemented ESMA on Anganwadis

Amaravati: The state government has launched Esma against the Anganwadis who have been on strike for the last 26 days to get their demands resolved. The state has issued JVO banning the strike for 6 months.. Bringing Anganwadis under emergency services, GO No. 2 has been released. At the same time, the salaries of Anganwadi workers and helpers were reduced by Rs.3 thousand for the period of the strike and Rs.8050 was deposited in their accounts. The two rounds of talks held by the government with Anganwadi workers and helpers across the state to call off the strike on December 11 on other issues including salary hike failed.. The Anganwadis have made it clear that they will continue their strike until their demands are resolved.
