Ban on use of mobiles in schools-Education Department
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has banned the use of mobile phones in schools across the state..It has issued a memo on Monday imposing a complete ban on bringing mobile phones to schools. Also, it has been clarified that strict action will be taken if teachers are not allowed to bring mobile phones in the classrooms if they violate the instructions given by the Education Department. It instructed the teachers to hand over their phones to the school principal and go to the classrooms. Education Commissioner Suresh Kumar said that the decision to ban cell phones in schools has been taken to prevent disruption to teaching. The School Education Department has taken these steps based on the Global Education Monitoring Report released by UNESCO. The Education Department has made it clear that disciplinary action will be taken against teachers who violate the rules. The education department said that mobile can be used during lunch break and other breaks. The school education department has said that the school principals and the above officials should ensure that these regulations are strictly implemented.
