BSNL to offer 5G services from August 15 next year-Ashwini Vaishnav

Amaravati: 5G services in the country started from Friday in some cities. It is clear that the public sector telecom company Bharat Sanchara Nigam Limited (BSNL) is gearing up to launch 5G services to its customers soon. Making this a reality, Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) in New Delhi that BSNL will start offering 5G services in India from August 15 next year. 4G services will be launched in the first quarter of 2023, followed by (BSNL 5G) by August 15. To this extent, TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) is likely to sign a contract worth Rs.16 thousand crores from BSNL. At the same time Tejas Networks took steps to manufacture equipment for BSNL. From January 2023, C-DOT, BSNL will jointly start the (BSNL 5G) pilot test. It is not known exactly when. If everything goes according to plan, there is a possibility that 5G network will be available from BSNL in 2023 itself. However, it may take some time for BSNL to roll out 5G services.
