Amaravati: After Rahul Gandhi, BSP MP Afzal Ansari will be disqualified from Lok Sabha membership. Two brothers (former MLA) Mukhtar Ansari, Afzal Ansari (current MP) are facing charges in the Nandakishore Rungta murder case including the murder of former MLA Krishna Nandarai in 2005. The Uttar Pradesh Ghazipur People’s Representative Court on Saturday sentenced BSP MP Afzal Ansari to a fine of Rs 1 lakh and four years in prison in a murder case (under the Gangster Act). Afzal is the UP Ghazipur Lok Sabha BSP MP. Former MLA Mukhtar Ansari was sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in a case registered in 2007 under the Gangster Act. This verdict is crucial as Afzal has to lose his Lok Sabha seat. Amidst the verdict in the kidnapping and murder case against the Ansari brothers, the police have set up tight security outside the Ghazipur court today.
