Buy the handloom cloths and contribute their share to the weavers-collector

Nellore: District Collector Y. Hari Narayanan said that the state government is supporting the handloom workers and working for their welfare. In celebration of the National Handloom Day, the Apco stall set up under the auspices of the Handloom and Textile Department in the Collectorate premises was inaugurated by the Collector, State Handloom Corporation Director Mr. Adilakshmi. Later, the collector told the media that Handloom Day is being celebrated across the country today. He said that during the independence movement of the country, Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, had given a call to consume the goods produced in our country. The Collector advised the people to buy handloom cloths and contribute their share to the handloom workers. He said that in celebration of National Handloom Day, people should buy some handloom cloth today, buying handloom cloth in this way will promote the handloom sector.
