Hyderabad: Khairatabad Panchamukha Mahalakshmi Ganesha Shobhayatra started on Friday. This time Mahaganapati,50 feet high, made of clay soil is going for immersion in Hussainsagar. This is the first time that the 50 feet huge clay Mahaganapati is immersed in a procession. Compared to last year, the weight of Khairatabad Mahaganapati has reached 60 to 70 tons. Mahaganapati is being transported to the hussain sagar sea shore on a special vehicle. Starting from Khairatabad Mandapam, the Mahaganapati Shobhayatra procession will proceed from in front of Sensation Theater, Raj Dutt Square, Telephone Bhavan, Ekbal Minar Square, Telugu Thalli Square, Lumbini Park to Crane No. 4 on NTR Marg. Once the Mahaganapati reaches the crane number-4 on NTR Marg, the welding frames will be removed. After the last phase of pooja, the police are expecting that Maha Ganapati Namazjana will be completed in Sagar in the evening. On the other hand, rain continues to trouble the devotees in the city.
