CBI arrested Manish Sisodia in Delhi liquor policy case

Amaravati: The CBI on Sunday arrested Deputy CM, AAP key leader Manish Sisodia in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. CBI interrogated Sisodia for about 8 hours and arrested him at 7:30 pm. Sisodia will be produced in the court on Monday. CBI officials told his family members about the arrest. In the wake of Sisodia arrest, the police imposed Section 144 in the vicinity of Sisodia residence and the CBI headquarters without any possibility of any tension. Lt Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has recommended a CBI inquiry into the allegations of irregularities in the design of the Delhi Excise Policy brought in November last year, the implementation of tenders, and the government’s revenue has been compromised. The CBI registered a case against Sisodia and 14 others in a special court in August last year. In the case filed by the investigating agencies, Sisodia and other officials of the Excise Department have also been named as accused.
