CM Pinarayi Vijay launched the first anti-drone vehicle in the country
amaravathi: For the first time in the country in Amaravati, the Kerala Police has brought an anti-drone vehicle into use. This vehicle, called Eagle Eye, has been developed by the Kerala Drone Forensic Department. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijay inaugurated on the occasion of International Cyber Security Conference (Cocon-22). The cost of the anti-drone vehicle is around 80 lakhs. All Drone Technology Limited, a start-up company in Thiruvananthapuram, has contributed. Shyam Vargas, the CEO of the company said that the latest technology has been installed in this vehicle. He said that some drones that fly without permission operate with the help of radio frequency, and if the radio frequency received by such drones is jammed, they will crash. Also, the anti-drone vehicle will be made available to the police at airports and areas visited by celebrities. The technology system in this vehicle will not only detect drones within a range of 5 km to 20 km but also disable them. Also, it involves jamming of GPS-based remote control systems.
