Cyclone Mandus heading towards the coast

Nellore: Cyclone Mandus is rushing towards the coast with a speed of 65 to 70 kmph. The AP Disaster Management Agency has announced that it is likely to cross the coast at Mahabalipuram after midnight on Friday. Officials stated that monitoring of storm movements is being done from the State Emergency Operation Center from time to time. Accordingly instructions are being issued to the district administration. Officials have been alerted in 210 mandals of the districts affected by the storm.  NDFR, SDRF relief teams reached Prakasam, Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor districts for relief operations.  Through AP Alert sent storm warning messages to around one crore people in 6 districts.
