“Dada Saheb Phalke” award to Mithun Chakraborty

Amaravati: One of the most prestigious awards in the film industry, the “Dada Saheb Phalke Award” has gone to veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishtav announced on Monday that Mithun Chakraborty has been selected for the Dada Saheb Phalke Award. It has been revealed that he will present the award at the 70th National Film Awards ceremony on October 8. Mithun Chakraborty started his career in cinema in 1976. Served as an actor and producer. He got special attention from the movie ‘Disco Dancer’. In recognition of his services in the field of cinema, the Center also presented him with the Padma Bhushan Award in January this year.
