Farmers can now cultivate and export red sandalwood-U.M Bhupender Yadav

amaravathi: Union Minister Bhupender Yadav has made an important announcement that after growing red sandalwood plants, the restrictions on the export of logs will be removed. It has been made clear that red sandalwood has been removed from the complex trade process review section. Speaking to the media on this occasion, Bhupender Yadav said that this decision was taken in the 77th convention of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) recently held in Geneva, Switzerland. Since 2004, the red sandalwood available in India has been under review due to the complex trade process, and a ban has been imposed on its cultivation and exports. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav expressed hope that farmers will be encouraged to cultivate red sandalwood by removing them from the complex commercial process.
