From imports of defense equipment to export of defense equipment to 75 countries-P.M Modi
Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India has grown to the point of exporting defense equipment to foreign countries in Atmanirbhar, and India has emerged as a strong power in the field of defense. The Prime Minister inaugurated the 14th edition of the 2023 Aero India Show on Monday. On the occasion of inaugurating the Aero India Show which will be held for 5 days (till 17th of this month) at Yalahanka Air Base in Karnataka, the Prime Minister said that the Aero India Show will give a new impetus to India and also reflect our strength. He said that in the central budget, a big focus has been laid on the manufacturing industries of the defense sector. They said that the permissions given to industries have been simplified, and we are making the protective equipment ourselves at a low cost. It has been revealed that India, which has been the world’s largest importer of defense equipment for decades, exports defense equipment to 75 countries in the world. He said that he is asking the private companies to invest in the defense sector. Today, 100 countries are participating in the Aero India Show, which means that it is clear to what extent the confidence of the world has increased in India. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, CM Basavaraj Bommai, Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and many dignitaries participated in this program. As the Prime Minister inaugurated the air show, warplanes like Sarang helicopters graced the skies.
