Mamata Banerjee came down with the concern of junior doctors
Amaravati: Due to the concern of junior doctors in West Bengal, Mamata’s government has to come down. Mamata’s government has agreed to fulfill the demands of junior doctors who have been agitating for more than a month in Kolkata. After being canceled four times, the junior doctors held talks with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday night. In these discussions which lasted for about six hours, the junior doctors put five demands before the government. Mamata government has agreed to 3 out of 5 demands. To this extent, steps have been taken to fulfill the demands of the medical students. As part of this, after the meeting with the doctors, Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal announced the removal of two officers from the medical department. It has been revealed that new officers will be appointed in their place on Tuesday. Mamata herself announced after the discussions that a committee led by the Chief Secretary to the government will take up the activities to resolve the remaining demands. Mamata Banerjee asked the junior doctors to stop their agitation after they agreed to the demands. He requested that no action be taken against the agitators and that the doctors should join duty immediately. It was also announced that a special committee headed by the Chief Secretary will be set up to solve the infrastructure problems related to the health sector. On this occasion, one of the leaders of the doctors’ protest said that the strike will not end until the Mamata Banerjee government fulfills its promises. He said that there is still no clarity on their demand for an in-depth investigation into the corruption that has increased especially in the medical and health department.
