Mamata Banerjee should resign from the post of CM immediately – ‘Nirbhaya’ mother Asha Devi
Amaravati: On February-2024, the women of Sandesh Khali took to the roads to protest against the policies of the West Bengal government, who alleged that TMC leader Sheikh Shah Jahan had committed rape against them. Even then the police arrested him with the help of the courts… In the background of intense anger from women across the country, it appears that the government is working with the aim of protecting those who committed the most brutal rapes against women in West Bengal.
Asha Devi, the mother of ‘Nirbhaya’, the victim of gang rape in a Delhi bus in 2012, reacted strongly to the case of rape and murder of junior doctor Pasavika. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has failed to solve the case of rape and murder of Junior Dr. Pashavik in an efficient manner and demanded that she resign from the post of Chief Minister immediately.
When such an incident happens in a state where a woman is the Chief Minister, instead of taking immediate action with the powers she has, Mamata is angry that she is trying to divert people’s attention in the name of protests.
A 31-year-old post-graduate trainee doctor on duty at RG Kar Medical College Hospital was murdered on August 9 after being brutally raped, the post-mortem report revealed.Along with medical college students and doctors protested across the country on this incident. The agitation continues demanding justice for the victim.
In order to mislead the case, Bengal police arrested a person on the day after the murder of a trainee doctor, claiming to be related to this crime. The Calcutta High Court handed over the case to the CBI, finding the police’s methods and errors in the investigation of the case wrong.
