Meals are priced at Rs.20 and Rs.50 for railway passengers

Amaravati: South Central Railway has decided to extend several special trains for the convenience of railway passengers of two Telugu states. South Central Railway has said in a statement that many trains which were introduced in view of summer rush are being extended from August 1 to October 1. Details of extended special trains are as follows..

Hyderabad – Cuttack – August 1 to September 26, Cuttack – Hyderabad – August 2 to September 27,,Tirupati-Jalna-August 1st to September 26th,,Jalna-Tirupati-August 6th to October 1st,,,Jalna-Chapra-August 2nd to September 27th,,Chapra-Jalna-August 4th to September 29th,,,Hyderabad-Gorakhpur-August 4th to September 29th, Gorakhpur-Hyderabad-August 6th to October 1st, 2023.
Meal facility for Rs.20 and Rs.50 only:- The Railway Department is making arrangements to provide quality meals and fresh water at low cost to those traveling in general bogies at Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal and Renigunta railway stations under South Central Railway. As part of the ‘Economy Meals’ program, the first type of economy meal will be provided for Rs.20 and the second type of combo meal will be provided for Rs.50. Economy meal includes 7 puris, green curry and greens. Combo meal includes rice, kichidi, chole kulche, chole bhature, pavbhaji and masala dosha. 200 ml packaged fresh water glasses are also provided along with the meal. Food service counters are being set up on the platform near the general coaches to provide meals through the IRCTC kitchen units-Jan Aahar service counters located in the railway stations. South Central Railway GM Arun Kumar Jain said that a large number of passengers will get an opportunity to use economy meal services. It has been stated that it will be implemented experimentally in four railway stations for 6 months, and then it will be expanded to other stations.
