“Nisar” satellite launch successful

Amaravati: The Earth observation satellite “NISAR”, jointly developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the US National Space Administration (NASA), has successfully launched into space. The 2,392 kg Nisar satellite was launched from Sriharikota at 5:40 pm today (Wednesday) by a GSLV-F16 rocket. The GSLV-F16 rocket launched the Nisar satellite into a sun-aligned orbit at an altitude of 740 km.
