Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile tests successful
Hyderabad: The Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) system has been test-fired successfully. The Defense Research and Development Organization revealed that the QRSAM test was jointly conducted by DRDO and the Indian Army from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur on Odisha coast. Designed with advanced technology, this missile can destroy another object in the air with high accuracy. QRSM Cure will become crucial in detecting and shooting down enemy planes and drones at the borders. DRDO has announced successful completion of 6 flight tests of QRSAM system. As part of the final test trails, all the indigenously developed sub-systems including missile with indigenous RF seeker, mobile launcher, fully automated command and control system, surveillance and multi-function radars were launched from the integrated test range. This missile is a short range surface to air missile system. This missile can also hit airborne targets at a range of 30 km and at an altitude of 10 km. QRSAM’s performance has been tested at all times..QRSAM will become a key component of the Air Defense System.
