Nellore: Nellore Municipal Corporation Mayor Sravathi and Commissioner Haritha have called upon all the people to raise awareness about the use of carbon emissions that cause air pollution and protect the ecological balance. International Day Of “Clean Air For Blue Skies” organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change of the Government of India on 7th September every year at national, state, and city level. A rally was organized from V.R.C Center to RTC Bus Stand under the auspices of Nellore City Corporation. On this occasion, the commissioner said that everyone should increase awareness to improve clean air conditions in the city. She advised to avoid burning of agricultural waste and accumulated garbage, to reduce the unnecessary use of AC, to encourage the use of electric vehicles, use of non-conventional energy sources, and to provide a clean environment to future generations with the responsibility of all citizens on environmental protection.
Deputy Mayor Roop Kumar Yadav, Corporators Neeli Raghava Rao, D.Supraja, Co-op members Mobeena, Environmental Engineer Rajasekhar, SE Sampath Kumar, EE Sanjay, Engineering Officers, Secretariat Secretaries, Indoor and Outdoor staff of the City Corporation were participated in this rally.
