Nellore: Commissioner Vikas Marmat of the city corporation has directed to speed up the construction work in Jagananna Colony, which is being designed to provide permanent housing to all the poor as part of the Navaratna scheme, and to hand over the completed houses to the beneficiaries. Jagananna reviewed the progress of the construction work of the colony with the officials of various departments in the office on Saturday. On this occasion, the commissioner said that the authorities should monitor the quality standards in the houses being constructed with the participation of the beneficiaries. The officers of all the departments have been ordered to supervise the construction works and development works of the layouts in full coordination. The commissioner suggested that houses should be allocated to the beneficiaries quickly by providing infrastructure such as electricity, street lights, fresh water, drains, roads and greenery. The commissioner ordered to speed up the construction work by employing a large number of workers in the construction sector.
