Support the establishment of AI research and innovation centers in AP-C.M Chandrababu

Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is determined to develop Andhra Pradesh as an Artificial Intelligence hub, intensified his efforts for this during his visit to Singapore. On the third day of the visit, on Tuesday, he met with Mohan Kankanavalli, Deputy Executive Chairman of AI Singapore. He requested for support in setting up AI research and innovation centers in the state.
The CM said that AI Singapore should prioritize working in partnership with universities and research institutes in Andhra Pradesh. The CM proposed to implement AI training programs, exchange programs, and skill development modules for students in the state. The two discussed the use of AI, especially in healthcare, agriculture, education, and civil services. There was also a discussion on the current opportunities in the field of technology promotion, Deep Tech, and AI.
Discussions on setting up an MRO center: Chandrababu also met with SIA Engineering Company Senior Vice President Ng John Lin Willin. The Chief Minister explained to John Lynn Willin the construction and development plans for airports in the state.
They were invited to participate in new airport projects built through the MRO approach. He spoke about the new pro-industrial policies introduced by the state government.
The CM said that the vast opportunities in the aviation sector should be explored, and that AP should be visited and investments should be considered.
Responding positively to this, the Senior Vice President of SIA Engineering Company said that they would send representatives of their company to the state soon.The state government believes that using the experience and technology of companies like SIA Engineering, a world-class MRO center should be established in the state, and that areas like Visakhapatnam and Krishnapatnam are suitable for establishing this center.
