The objective is that there should be no homeless poor in the district – Collector

Nellore: District Collector KVN Chakradhar Babu stated that we are working with the big goal of not having homeless poor people in the district. On Tuesday, the District Collector inspected the progress of the construction work in the Jagananna Colonies of Abhivaripalem in Buchireddipalem mandal. On this occasion, the Collector said that every Saturday will be decided as a hosing day and a special drive will be organized to complete the house constructions quickly. From the engineering assistant at the secretariat level to the district level officer and special officers, all the officials related to the housing department should participate and work hard to speed up the work. He said that funds are being sanctioned to the beneficiaries from time to time in connection with the construction of houses without any delays. Similarly, they are providing interest free loan for house construction. Additional cash from CSR funds is also being granted to poor ST families. All the beneficiaries should take advantage of these facilities and complete the houses. Houses have also been granted to those who have come under the jurisdiction of Nuda, so far 63 thousand people have been granted houses in the district. If anyone applies for a house, it will be granted. As soon as the construction of the houses is completed, internal infrastructure will be provided in the respective colonies. He said that assistance will be provided to the beneficiaries to enter their homes by the coming Ugadi. District Collector was accompanied by Constituency Special Officer Sudhakar, Buchi Nagar Panchayat Municipal Commissioner Chandrasekhar Reddy, MPDO Narasimha Rao, Tehsildar Padmaja and others.
