Two died due to kites and Manja Daram

Hyderabad: Tragic incidents took place during Sankranti festival. Two people lost their lives due to kites and manja daram. Koteswara Rao from Visakhapatnam is working in the medical department of the army and is residing in Hyderabad. While he was going home after completing his duties on Saturday night, the string of the kite on the top of the langarhouse was wrapped around his neck. As a result, he fell on the road and got seriously injured. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but his condition worsened and he died while undergoing treatment. Also in Alwal, a young man lost control while flying a kite on a building and died. The deceased has been identified as Akash, son of ASI working in Pate Bashirbhag Police Station. Many traders are selling Chinese Manjadar against the ban. Due to the broken kites, people traveling on the road and birds are also getting stronger.
