What happened with China at the borders in 1962? Congress should tell people honestly-Jaishankar

Amaravati: Union External Affairs Minister Jaishankar has reacted sharply to the Congress Party’s criticism that Prime Minister Modi is keeping silent while China is committing provocative acts at India’s borders. On Tuesday, Jaishankar said in an interview that Congress leaders should remember that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi and not Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who sent the army to the Line of Actual Control (LAC). As the Chinese army is being deployed at the borders, our soldiers have been sent. He said that the opposition party Congress needs to honestly tell the truth to the people about what happened with China in 1962 at the borders.

He said that the Modi government has increased the budget by 5 times for infrastructure. Jaishankar also responded to the opposition’s criticism of the construction of the Chinese bridge at Pangong Lake last year, and reminded that the area has been under China’s illegal control since the 1962 war. He said that for the first time the Chinese army came there in 1958 and surrounded the area in 1962, when Pradani Nehru was there. Now the Congress party is blaming the Modi government for the construction of the Chinese bridge in that area.
