Amaravati: All the parties are busy campaigning in the backdrop of assembly elections to be held on May 10 in Karnataka. It appears that the parties are ready to give money along with promises to impress the voters. In this background, Ashok Kumar Roy is contesting as a Congress candidate contesting from Puttur constituency in Mysore. After receiving reliable information from the IT, EC officials, Ashok Kumar Roy’s brother Subramanya Roy’s house was searched. Officials found bundles of money hidden in a tree in the backyard of his house. When Bag opened, bundles of crore rupees notes were seen.. The authorities seized this amount. It is reported that money has been hidden to distribute to the voters. Since the start of the election campaign till now, the authorities have seized more than Rs.300 crores of unaccounted money. Authorities seized Rs.82 crores in Bengaluru itself. The election results will be announced on May 13.
