First medal for India in Paris Olympics
Amaravati: India won first medal in Paris Olympics.. Young shooter Manubakar won bronze medal in 10m air pistol category. In the final, Korean shooters Oye Jin scored 243.2 (Gold), and Kim Yeji (Swilar) scored 241.3 points. Manu Bhakar stood third with 221.7 points.
Believes in karma:- After winning the bronze medal, she told the media that this medal should have come to India sometime, and after a long wait, this medal has come to our country. She said, “I want India to win more medals in the Olympics.” This time we are looking forward to winning as many medals as possible. I am very happy to have won the bronze medal… Can’t describe my happiness in words… I fought till the last shot… Now that I have won the bronze, I want to do better in the future. Manu Bhakar said that she often reads the Bhagavad Gita, and the gist of the Gita is to do the duties we have to do without expecting results, which helped her to focus on her goal. She also revealed that she wants other players to win medals in these games.
